The AI-Run Pest Control Company: Hype vs. Reality, What Actually Works (and What Doesn’t)
The pest control office is about to change more in the next few years than it has in the past two decades. The industry is at an inflection point, and the companies that recognize it now will have a significant edge over the next 3-5 years. But AI is also one of the most overhyped topics in business right now. Every software vendor claims their product is “AI-powered,” but not all of it delivers. This talk cuts through the noise. We’ll take a step back from the hype and look at what is actually happening inside real operations. Working with some of the largest pest control companies in the country, we’ve observed hundreds of thousands of real customer interactions across operations of very different sizes and markets. This session is an honest account of what that data actually shows: where AI is genuinely transforming businesses, and where it still falls short. You’ll leave with a clear-eyed view of what AI can and can’t do for your operation today, and a practical framework for figuring out where to start.
