Who Should Take This Course?
Category 7D – Food Processing Pest Control under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) pesticide licensing program authorizes the application of pesticides to control pests in food processing, food manufacturing, and food storage facilities. This category covers treatments for insects, rodents, and other pests that may contaminate food products or food-handling environments. Applicators licensed in this category perform pest management in areas where food is prepared, processed, packaged, or stored, using approved methods and materials designed to protect food safety and comply with sanitation and regulatory standards.
Preparing for the NJDEP Category 7D Exam?
This training may be used in lieu of the required 40 hours of on-the-job training for the Category 7D license.

Due to Limited Capacity at our venues, we often sell out. For this reason, we are strictly enforcing out Payment/Cancellation Policy. All classes MUST be PAID at least two days in advance. Cancellations are allowed as long as we are notified by email ( Classes@NJPMA.com ) at least two days in advance. No-shows forfeit their registration fee, however you may reschedule for a fee of $20.
Need Core Certification Training?
Category 7D applicants must also complete the required Core training. The Basic Pesticide Training Course can be used toward Core exam preparation, operating-license requirements, or Core recertification.
